Golden State Killer Case: After 40 years of stalemate, serial killer and rapist Joseph James DeAngelo pleaded guilty to 13 counts of murder and more than 50 rapes. In order to create a road map to the killer through these DNA records, investigators created several family trees and finally zeroed upon Joseph James DeAngelo. Investigators found that Golden State Killer, East Area Rapist, Original Night Stalker, Diamond Knot Killer and Visalia Ransacker, these various names of Californian criminals of 70s and 80s are actually linked with a single man- Joseph James DeAngelo.
