As you know, I bought Tesla shares two weeks ago. Since that time, the stock price went up by 35%. And I decided to sell these shares.
It was not an easy decision. I wanted to hold Tesla for the long term but…
I decided to buy the Tesla Model 3 car to enjoy coming spring while driving a really nice vehicle.
Or is it just a joke? Yes, I did not sell any of my Tesla shares.
As today is April 1st, better known as April Fools' Day, let's see if you can guess what's real and what's an April Fool out of the 10 information about my investment plans, my personal decisions and also about the future of this YouTube channel.
One hint for you: there is both true and false information. So at least one fact and at least one fiction.
Ok, so the first one. As some of you know, I spent around two weeks of each of the last three winters in the Canary Islands. It was Fuerteventura 2 years ago, Gran Canaria a year ago and Lanzarote just three months ago.
And here is the statement:
I am moving permanently to Lanzarote this year.
Next one. The global recession in 2020 appears almost inevitable.
I decided to buy gold for some of my money to hedge myself against inflation which will be the effect of the stimulus from all governments.
The third one is more about my career.
I resigned from my regular job to focus on investing and YouTube.
The next one is about the allocation of my money. The recession and the slowdown of the economy is not good news if you are invested in commodities.
But I have already sold the majority of my commodity exposures.
YouTube channel is like a second job. I spend a few hours on each video to be delivered for you.
So to save my time on the things which do not have to be done by me, I decided to hire a person for video editing.
Stock market crash, the slowdown in the economy.
I decided to sell all my shares but Tesla. I left only my Tesla shares on my brokerage accounts, and I wait with my huge cash position for bigger bargains on the stock market as I expect another several per cents decline from the current levels.
The US stock market seems to be relatively overvalued in comparison with other stock markets and especially emerging markets.
I decided to sell all my American shares apart from Tesla and invested the money in Polish, Russian and Chinese stocks.
I have recorded 40 videos already. The effect in terms of subscribers number is not impressive. It proves that this idea is not working well.
I decided to stop creating YouTube videos. I will add some more to reach 50 videos as that is the number I initially wanted to create.
You know that I invested in CD Projekt shares. It was around 10% of my portfolio. And It grew nicely during the last year.
But I decided to sell shares of CD Project as the recession is going to be a difficult time to sell their new game – Cyberpunk 2077.
I am happy with my 20% gains in the current environment, and I will look for a better company to invest in now.
I have been observing the property market closely in Swindon. Prices may go down this year.
And I am planning to buy a property in Swindon this year.
I hope you have had some fun in trying to guess what is right and what is false. Let me know in the comment which numbers represent correct and misleading information. Happy April Fools everyone!
And of course, Happy Investing!
