Over the years the BJP Govt has been able to build a solid narrative using the 'vision thing' & inflated numbers. Opposition on its part failed to expose the number game - even as the data kept vanishing! In one of its most in depth episodes - #TheDeshBhakt shows you 10 numbers that the Govt managed to disappear.

That is why - while the whole country, entire media and opposition are busy arguing over the recent Citizenship Amendment Act, we seem to have forgotten the grave slowdown our economy is facing.

As the second quarter GDP growth rate reached 6-year low with only 4.5% growth rate, we are heading towards an even uglier phase of economic slowdown and there seems to be no sign of revival anytime soon. Manufacturing sector is at all time low; core sector output shrunk 5.8% in October; bank credit is at 58-year low; with all the numbers going down, Government very easily distracted the nation by creating divide among the citizens with the new citizenship bill.

There have been many instances of Government hijacking the reports before they are even out in public domain - but these reports are slowly coming out of closet and a rather disastrous picture of our economy is unfolding. The Government seems to be not investing any interest in this regard. In this episode of TheDeshBhakt, we decided to shift our focus back on this grave issue and remind our people that it is not just a fight for our constitution but also for our economy.
