For as long as there have been movies and TV, there have been fans. And as long as there have been fans, they have been coming up with fan theories! Fan theories are any unsolved mysteries or questions left open ended that fans have taken it upon themselves to investigate, and oftentimes, solve! While sometimes fan theories can be a little bit out there, they are often grounded in a really thorough knowledge of the material that they are investigating. And a lot of the time, they turn out to be totally true!
Fan theories have become so popular that the actors and creators of the movies and TV are asked all about them during press tours. And while sometimes they are sworn to secrecy, other times they are allowed to confirm whether or not something is actually true!
We’ve got all the info on the times that both actors and directors have actually proven, or at least tried to prove, that the fans were right! From a theory about Cars that wonders if the cars actually overthrew the human race, to one about five thousand lost souls who might still be haunting Superman. There is a crazy Riverdale fan theory that an actor addressed, and a hilarious one about Thanos that Josh Brolin went out of his way to, well… make a statement about. A Peter Parker theory links him to the MCU long before he actually appeared, and a Stranger Things question was answered by Eleven herself! Check out the video below for the entire inside scoop
