44.64 kilometers per hour - that’s how fast the fastest man on Earth can run. His name is Usain Bolt, and if you’re a fan of the Olympics, then you’ve probably seen this guy run and break some impressive speed records. But when you look at a lot of things around us, Bolt’s speed is quite slow compared to animals like the cheetah and some falcons that can fly at a speed that is way faster than his. And then, we also have some human creations that beat the speed records of any living thing on Earth. Today I’ll be introducing you to “10 Fastest Things Made By Man.” A lot of these things have helped humans reach their destinations faster than they ever thought. And as technology improves everyday, I’m sure more things will come up in the future that will beat the already fast things that we have on this list today. Let’s check them out.

Fastest Elevator

With so many people moving to big cities, there are less and less houses available for them. For that reason, apartment complexes are the new thing. So, if you move to the city from a less crowded part of your country, then you’re very likely to move into an apartment. And if that’s the case, then you’ll have to deal with elevators on a regular basis. Elevators become quite annoying when they’re slow and the buildings are tall. If you add a lot of residents to that building, then getting to your home on a daily basis can be a nightmare. That’s why the speed of elevators is very important these days, and some engineers have made an effort to give us some of the fastest elevators in the world. For a long time, the fastest elevator in the world has been the one inside the Shanghai tower. It travels at a speed of 20.5 meters per second, or 73.8 kilometers per hour! In other words, you can go up 5 floors in less than a second. Most of the fastest elevators are in Asia, but in case you were wondering, the fastest one in the US is the one inside the 1 World Trade Center in Manhattan and it travels at 37 kilometers per hour.

Fastest Submarine

It’s hard to determine what’s the fastest submerged object in the world. After all, most of the fast things that are submerged, are hidden from us for a reason - and it’s usually because they’re top secret military operations. However, Russia likes to claim that they owned the fastest submarine in the world. It was first known as the K-162, and it was later named the K-222, but some people also refer to it as the Papa Class. This vessel was able to travel at speeds of 44.85 knots, which is like 83 kilometers per hour - that’s slightly slower than the sailfish, which is one of the fastest underwater animals out there! I think this is very impressive, considering that it’s a human creation that we’re talking about. And while this submarine is indeed quite fast, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are other ones out there that are even faster. But I guess we will never find out, because the main purpose of a submarine is not to show off its speed, but it’s meant to carry secret and important military operations.




Fastest Roller Coaster

Of course we couldn’t miss the chance to talk about roller coasters! In fact, we talk a lot about them in our channel. And you’ll notice that we always have our eyes on the tallest, craziest and fastest roller coasters in the world. As of today, the fastest roller coaster in the world is in Ferrari World, a mostly indoor amusement park in Abu Dhabi. The name of the roller coaster is Formula Rossa and it reaches speeds of 240 kilometers per hour! So, if you’ve been to crazy roller coasters and you thought they were scarily fast, then the Formula Rossa will definitely make you freak out. But you’ll be happy to know that the Formula Rossa has been operating for about 10 years and there aren’t any crazy stories out there in regards to accidents or other events that put people’s lives at risk. There was one casualty tho, and it was a poor pigeon that dived into the neck of one of the passengers and died. Other than that, the roller coaster has been safe for human riders and we hope it stays that way for as long as it’s up and running.
