Horses have been an important part of human world. Horses hold a place of
honor in many cultures. These animals are associated to war and are
present in wild as well as can be domesticated. There is only one species of
horse which can be domesticated and nearly 400 species are special breeds.

NUMBER 10: AKHAL-TEKE HORSE

NUMBER 9: THE BLACK FOREST HORSE
The black forest horses have dark chestnut coats and have a flaxen mane
and tail. Their average body size ranges between 14.2 and 15.3 hands. Just
like their European ancestors, these horses have gentle disposition and
their bodies are larger than other breeds. These are used for work purposes
in the forests as riding horses, in front of carriage rides and as well as for

rare and their current population is around 46 stallions and around 700

NUMBER 8: WHITE HORSES OF THE CAMARGUE
The Camargue horses are the ones which are just like from the fairytales!
These are one of the only breeds of horses which live in the wild. These are
found in the wet land and the marshes of the Camargue areas in the
Southern France.
These are that breed of horse which are beautiful and harsh. These horses
stay adapted to its territory and live free. These horses are born in water

NUMBER 7: THE EXMOOR PONY
The exmoor pony are the Britain oldest native pony breed which are the
prehistoric looking pony. These are named on the wild moorland that they
call home. These are the pure breeds with the identical characteristics of
their ancient wild pony ancestors. They have varying colors of brown. The
height of their bodies ranges between 11.2 and 13.2 hands. They have solid
hooves and can eat the tough plants including gorse shrubs. They have
thick eyelids which protect their eyes from rain. In winters their tail grows

Flabellas are the first miniature horse breeds. These are the only purebred

being miniature these are not ponies.
