The best one-shot action scenes in movies.

While all action sequences are created equal, one take action scenes are more equal than others...

We all have our favourite moments of action- whether it is a large gaping battle scene or a one on one show down between hero and villain. Action scenes are usually the central showpieces of the movie or show that they appear in and therefore are usually meticulously planned and rehearsed to make sure the action is on point. But sometimes- directors go above and beyond for an action scene, doing everything in their power to break the wall between the movie and the audience, and throwing you in there with the action. And one of the primary methods of this is the long take. The long take is set to make the action seem fluid without the use of cuts- and while most of the time they are smuggled in- the action seems to play out in real time in front of our very eyes, immersing us into the scene.

In this video we will look at some of the very best one take action sequences and the gruelling process behind the scenes to make them work. Including crazy battlefield scenes where characters must duck and weave through the action to THAT crazy sequence in a recent Netflix film. These are some of the best sequences and filmmakers out there doing what they do best! ANd of course- beware of spoilers!
