Amid massive protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) across the country, the Congress party is set to take out pan-India flag marches on its foundation day today to convey its "Save Constitution-Save India" message to the people. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will pay a day-long visit to Assam today to extend the party's solidarity to the people protesting against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act, its senior leader said.

Amid the ongoing protests against the contentious citizenship law, authorities in Uttar Pradesh suspended the internet services in half a dozen districts of the state on Thursday. According to police officials and administration, internet services have been suspended in Meerut, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, Bulandshahr, Shamli. The same will be resumed on Friday evening, they said. Meanwhile, police and administration in all these districts and elsewhere in the region are on alert.

Meanwhile, Mumbai is set to witness a massive march of students and progressive, secular citizens against CAA-NRC today. The march has been called by the joint committee of students union along with several other organisations.
