Random Thought:
My sweet Eve Rose a.k.a. Bitty is 3 years old today!! She was born just after 5 pm during the first weather segment of the evening news- (that's what happened to be on the TV at the time)... and then I remember going to our room and the college football national championship game was on... Clemson beat Alabama. Isn't it funny how those little details stand out? I also remember taking her home at the end of the following day and coming up the stairs, seeing Belle and my family... and just crying. It was the ultimate state of overwhelm and the whole thought of being a mom of 2 was raining down on me (along with my changing hormones, lol!)... for some reason while I was cool as a cucumber with that baby in the hospital, bringing her home somehow let the reality sink in- I have 2 children who need me... how can I be everything for BOTH of them.

My tip for anyone dealing with this- try not to let your entire children's lives flash before your eyes. Think of that day, that hour, that moment. How can you do your best RIGHT NOW. Tackle one thing at a time... and slowly over the days and weeks you'll watch the hard things turn easier and the new routines start to emerge. And your life as a mom of multiple kids isn't only about YOU meeting every need. It's about watching their lives bless EACH OTHER in a way only siblings can. I'm watching it happen all over again with Mr. Rhett... only this time with a little more wisdom and a little less fear. And I keep in mind this thought that mom brought to my attention recently... there are no ordinary moments. Your present moment is your PRESENT - treat it as such :)
