Today at The Binger we’ll be returning to one of the most fun things about Frozen 2: it’s adult content. While much of it comes in the form of sly jokes, there are also some more obvious references geared at all the 18 plus viewers.

Of course, there’s the aspect of representation. Disney has tried (not very hard) to include more than just white people in the new Frozen. After the honeymoon period ended and people realized that, even though Frozen 1 flipped the Disney script on its head and is, in its way, a feminist movie, it wasn’t the best at representing the experience of anyone non-white. They didn’t even put anyone into the background of a crowd shot. But the new movie sets out to change that, kind of, by casting one black actor.

And then there’s the Northuldra, who are a representation of the Sami people. Arendelle’s colonization of them is a shout-out to the real-world colonization of the Sami and indigenous cultures the world over.
