It’s been a long time since the last Matrix came out. Almost twenty years, in fact. But next year, if we’re all still here, we’ll be treated to a brand-spankin new installment in the iconic series. So, in anticipation of that, we thought we might as well go back in time to look at some of the fight scenes from back in the day and rank the top ten.

And there are a lot to choose from here. Three movies, totalling four hundred and seventeen minutes, that are packed from end to end with all types of different fight scenes. They range from consummate beatdowns in dingy bathrooms, to painfully equal contests in computer-generated sparring programs, to chaotic, city-destroying, CGI fests that leave you disoriented but stoked.
