Number 10. Anjana The Chimpanzee’s Bond with Two White Tigers

Tigers are at the top of the food chain, so it’s not common for them to cuddle up close to chimps. That is why the friendship between Anjana the chimpanzee and two white tigers is something very special. Anjana was raised by china even since she was born. As Anjana grew up, she started to mimic china’s behaviour and started to care for animals just like her caregiver! The 2-year-old chimp has been looking after the two cubs, Mitra and Shiva. These cubs were born at a very stressful time, during the hurricane Hannah, which flooded everything. The stress started getting to the Mama tiger and so the cubs had to be separated. And now, their new surrogate mother, Anjana feeds them with a bottle, lies with them and has developed an incredibly strong bond with the two babies. This has to be the best case of monkey see, monkey do.

Number 9. Torque the greyhound and Shrek the owl

Dogs are the most loving pets, but they don’t make friends with birds too often. Our friend torque here is not like other dogs, he’s almost a father to Shrek the owl. Shrek was separated from her mother because the keepers feared she would eat him if she was too stressed. So, John Picton took the first rare hatchling home, which also happened to be the home of torque. This special friendship took a long time to blossom. At first, John introduced them by feeding them in the same room. Then he held up Shrek close to torque so he could become familiar with her scent. Before he knew, the two were napping together! They even spend their evening together watching EastEnders and coronation street. Where they are, they’re always enjoying each other’s company with a hoot!

Number 8. Milo the dog and Bonedigger the Lion

Bonedigger the lion may not be as strong as others, but his relationship with his best friend is the strongest one out there. Poor Bonedigger was born with a metabolic bone disease that left him mildly crippled only. His owner, John Reinke understood his pain since he was a double amputee. Although Bonedigger might be disabled, Milo serves as his extra paw! The dachshund dog never leaves his side, in fact they’re so close that Milo even leans in to kiss the giant lion. They cuddle together and feast on raw meat at the G.W. Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. A duo like this deserves its own movie!
