When fans think of the essence of the Mortal Kombat games, it's head to head combat, winner takes all. What’s fascinating about the franchise is that there are so many characters, each with unique abilities and talents, that it's almost overwhelming! And then, underlying the whole story of each game, is the epic battle between Good and Evil, with some famous rivalries being produced as a result.
Whether it's Scorpion vs Sub-Zero or Raiden vs Shao Kahn, these battles certainly never disappoint.

Considering how large the Mortal Kombat Universe is and how long the franchise has been around, it’s nearly impossible to undertake the task we’ve attempted here in this video: ranking the best and most powerful fighters in the entire game series. This is a hotly debated topic with fans all over the Internet weighing in with their take in articles, videos and comments. Given how controversial this topic is, you know we couldn’t resist trying to settle the discussion once and for all. Just joking, but honestly, we think we’ve done a pretty good job here. However, it’s a short list, so we had to make some really hard decisions on who to keep and who to cut. Even harder was figuring out which rivals deserved to be ranked ahead of each other.
