It is the seventh-largest country by area, the second-most populous country, and the most populous democracy in the world. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the southwest, and the Bay of Bengal on the southeast, it shares land borders with Pakistan to the west, China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north, and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. The capital is New Delhi, and its official languages are Hindi and English but there are more than 19,500 languages or dialects spoken in India as mother tongues. The country is one of the most diverse cultures on the planet with various regions corresponding to different languages and customs.India has the second largest population in the world estimated at 1.3 billion people who live on the 6thlargest surface area of just over 3.2million km2.

1. Indian Movies Gross More Than Hollywood Movies
The Bollywood industry produces more in terms of both scale and money. Bollywood’s highest grossing film made twenty-seven times more than Hollywood’s highest grossing film. For every 600 films Hollywood produces, Bollywood produces 1000. Bollywood produces the most profitable films as well when the figures are compared to those of Hollywood. Hollywood’s highest grossing film was 2009’s Avatar which grossed $2.8billion at the box office. When compared to the Bollywood’s film ‘The Three Idiots’ bright in $76.81billion in profit. As seen in the past, festive-season release, A-lister star cast, and a large number of screens to run on are the factors that can affect the box office collections of a film. India is capable of bringing all these factors together to bring out the best movies as their culture, the people and even the big names available in India make pulling such a film an easy task.
2. Shampoo originated from India
Invented in the 16th century in India, shampoo used natural ingredients and the name initially comes from the concept of massage. Sake Dean Mohamed the pioneering immigrant who invented Shampoo was from India but it was not the commercial liquid ones now used worldwide but the method by use of natural herbs. The word 'shampoo' itself has been derived from the Sanskrit word ‘champo’, which means to massage.Shampoo is said to have been originated in India in 1800 A.D. “Champo” was first discovered by early colonial traders visiting India, together with body massage, and it was brought back to Europe under the name “champing.”
3. Diamonds Were First Mined in India
Diamond mining in India extends back into antiquity. From ancient times, India was the source of nearly all the world's known diamonds, and until the discovery of diamonds in Brazil in 1726, India was the only place where diamonds were mined. India has not been a major diamond-producing country since the 1700s, but diamond mining continues. In 2013, India mined 37,515 carats of diamonds, from one industrial-scale mine and many artisanal mines, this was less than one-tenth of one percent of the world production of 132.9 million carats.As of 2017, there was one industrial-scale diamond mine in India, the Majhgawan mine, near the town of Panna, Madhya Pradesh. The mine is owned by the National Mineral Development Corporation and employs 199 people, and has a productive capacity of 84,000 carats per year. The mine began regular production in 1967, and to date, has yielded slightly more than a million carats of diamonds including a famous Koh-i-Noor acquired by Queen Victoria.
