10th Annual Metro vs. FL Challenge Game 21: Colonial vs. Vero Beach

The Grenadiers look to build off of a 19-7 season,
their best since 2012, and are led by the versatile
senior Gabe Rivera and the sharpshooting senior
Shayne Lopez. Despite losing four of their five
starters from last season, the defensive-minded
Grenadiers still intend to push for a district title,
and prove that the whole is greater than the sum
of its parts.

Speed and quickness will be the Indians’ strength
this season. VBHS lost their top seven players
from last season’s 25-4 team. The Indians will
be young and inexperienced but should have
enough fight to make most games competitive.
Coach Whitsett will be looking for his team to be
firing on all cylinders by the postseason.
