Within a week of its release, The Game Changers became the best selling documentary of all time on iTunes. It’s now hugely popular on Netflix.
Producer James Wilks started filming in 2011 after a double knee injury forced him to put his elite training schedule on hold. So began a trail of surprising discoveries that led to James questioning everything he’d ever been told about protein.
Press play to hear James talk candidly about dealing with backlash from the meat lobby (and Piers Morgan), his own personal and family health scares that drove him on, how Bruce Lee inspired him and how he managed to get Oscar winning filmmakers Louie Psihoyos and James Cameron on board as well as big names like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Lewis Hamilton, Novak Djokovic and Chris Paul to join as executive producers.
This episode of The Unconventionalists has been a long time coming: I first got in touch with James back in 2013 via Facebook, so I’m super excited to share this conversation with you.
Subscribe to this channel and please do share this episode with others who need to hear it: James is an inspiring example of how to set your mind on what you want to do and succeed, despite the challenges.
