1990s, the origins of Scrum, and setting up the Agile Manifesto
Description
Ever wonder what preceded the Manifesto of Agile Software Development? This episode lays out the history leading up to this famous declaration. We examine the context of other methods, frameworks, practices and ideals of software development in the 1990s: RAD, RUP, ASD, Crystal Clear, FDD, DSDM, XP, Pragmatic Developers, and (of course) Scrum.
As a Scrum Master, you're responsible for supporting Scrum and helping others understand it, too. So here's a good intro to it's roots.
Also mentioned Royce's 1970 paper, the infamous HBR article from 1986, and stories from the early years of Vic's career. All resources at https://agilecoffee.com/scrummasterguide/
