2020 Bihar Polls: Supreme Court pulls up eight political parties 'Guilty' of contempt of court

Massive development ahead Uttar Pradesh state election polls as Supreme Court has held eight political parties guilty of contempt of court for failing to declare and publicise the criminal antecedents of their candidates during the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections. These eight political Parties are Janata Dal (United), Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lok Janshakti Party, Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Nationalist Congress Party, and the Communist Party of India. These parties have violated the Supreme Court's directions to publicise the criminal antecedents. As a punishment, CPI(M) and NCP have been fined Rs 5 lakh each, and the rest have been imposed with a penalty of Rs 1 lakh each. Listen in!
