5 models; the road biased GT and top spec GT Pro, and a more off-road focussed Rally and Rally Pro, plus a base model that’ll cost £9,500. There’s also a low seat version of the GT.

Big news is the new engine that features a T-Plane crank; offset firing order which gives a rough twin cylinder sound at the bottom and a better throttle connection - essentially Triumph’s version of a crossplane/Big Bang engine, with 10% more torque and a massive midrange power increase. Peak power remains the same for A2 capability.

There’s a new lighter frame, Brembo Stylema calipers, a new whopping 7-inch TFT dash, larger 20L fuel tank, fresh ergonomics and the usual feast of electronics. The new Tiger is around 5kg lighter depending on the model.

The launch will be in Morocco in February and that’s when the other prices will be announced. Triumph reckons this is a ‘quantum leap forward in adventure capability’ which is a bold claim, especially with the other middleweight adventure competition, so looking forward to throwing a leg over the new girl.
