4 women killed in Bronx apartment building fire

Four women were killed when an intense fire ripped through the top floor of a Bronx apartment building on the Grand Concourse Tuesday night around 7:30 p.m. Officials believe the fires started in one unit but that the victims lived in two neighboring apartment units. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were pronounced dead, police said. Fire officials said the cause is still under investigation but it was initially thought to be accidental, possibly started by a space heater.
