5 FACTS about TOP 10 LEADING CAUSES OF DEATH in the WORLD (Respiratory Disease, SUICIDE, WHO & CDC)
Description
I had an interest to explore the difference in the US top 10 leading causes of death in comparison to the global top causes of death, however, the groupings/categories chosen by the World Health Organization versus the CDC were different and therefore confusing and misleading. I assumed both would have figures for both the United States and the World, but alas. I'm rather poor with statistical research and encountered difficulty finding similar representations. LOTS of meaty, juicy, good information in this video. Surprises. The most recent data I could find was from 2016, in comparison to data from 2000. Only half of the countries register greater than 80% of their adult deaths. SCARY. Lots of countries were excluded due to poor or not recent data collection. So even many of our "estimates" are based on the year 2000 data presentations. What an undertaking to collect all this data, I hadn't realized that most of these reports run about 2-3 years behind in actually being published for public availability. Or perhaps, again, as I confessed, it's due to my poor searching attempts. I include number from the APA for suicide numbers, the NIDDK (National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases), the NIH (National Institutes of Health), National Kidney Foundation, etc. Will include many links below. Please enjoy or dislike and comment and inform me!! Global Health Estimates, new report, project
