1. National Congress President Farooq Abdullah has announced that the signatories of the Gupkar Declaration have formally entered into an alliance and have named it as Alliance for Gupkar Declaration. Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti who was released from detention after 14 months was also a part of the crucial meeting where the decision was taken. After the meeting, there were protests across Jammu and Kashmir with the BJP specifically accusing NCNPDP of taking a pro-Pakistan stand. 2. Uttar Pradesh: Shocker from Ballia district. BJP MLA Surendra Singh's aide shot down his rival Jai Prakash while the allotment process for ration shops was on. The crime took place in daylight and in the presence of several top police officials.
20 rounds were allegedly fired by the killer while some policemen were present at the spot. DIG Subhash Chandra Dubey confirmed that the main accused Dhirendra Singh was let off by cops and said that the policemen will face action.
Now, questions being raised about law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the suspension of police officials present on the spot at the time of the incident.
3. Times Now has been investigating the Bengaluru riot case, days after the sensational charge sheet naming ex-Congress Mayor Sampath Raj. The Congress Party cannot ignore the eyewitnesses that have been speaking about the case.
Bengaluru riots were born out of revenge and contempt, according to the charge sheet of the Bengaluru Special Police team, the violence took place in the month of August. A meeting was conducted by former Mayor Sampath Raj to allegedly hatching a conspiracy to target Congress MLA Akhand Srinivas Murti.
The eyewitness states that DK Shivakumar told Sampath Raj to continue doing good work in the constituency. The eye witness reveals several claims made that are not just shocking but also reveal that Congress did have a link in the riots.

Haryana: Three years ago, Manohar Lal Khattar-led Bharatiya Janata Party government that implemented the Centre’s order to abolish the ‘VIP culture’ in Haryana by removing red beacons on vehicles of lawmakers. However, all MLAs in the state will now receive a ‘red flag’ which will bear the logo of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha and Member of Haryana Vidhan Sabha-MLA. The privilege will be allowed for both their official and personal vehicles.
In April 2017, The Union Cabinet had ordered the removal of red beacons from all vehicles, including that of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had back then hailed the decision and said, “Every Indian is special. Every Indian is a VIP. It should have gone long ago. Glad that today a strong beginning has been made. These symbols are out of touch with the spirit of new India.”
