Description
King Alfred the Great, the only one in England's history to be given the epithet beside Cnut, though in this video, the first in a series of videos on how the "English State" was forged from the late 9th and throughout the 10th Century, I will lay out how "England" as a political entity nor a concept could have existed during Alfred's time.
