AMZ Tests Video Calls To Verify Third-Party Sellers & FBA Stock Runs Out | Helium 10 Weekly News

This week we bring you another Special ‘Work From Home’ Edition of The Weekly News by Helium 10. And now the news!

First up, Amazon is looking into video conferencing to confirm third party sellers identities. According to the Verge, “Amazon is testing using video calls to verify third-party sellers as it attempts to minimize the amount of fraudulent accounts and listings on its platforms.” Tests are currently ongoing in the US, UK, China, and Japan. If this were to become a permanent part of the onboarding process, some sellers would welcome it as a great way to weed out the bad players on Amazon, according to our Amazon FBA High Rollers Facebook Group. Next, more news For FBA sellers and their supplies in Amazon warehouses. According to Marketplace Pulse"Amazon’s decision in March to temporarily stop accepting shipments of non-essential goods to its warehouses has resulted in dwindling Prime supply as sellers run out of stock of items stored in FBA. Less than 80% of the top Amazon sellers offer Prime shipping for more than half of their assortment, down from 87% a few months ago." In addition, even if some sellers are now able to send inventory in, in some cases the amount is extremely limited as we reported last week.
