A day after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman announced the first tranche (for MSME's) of Modi Government's 10 lakh crore economic package, The Lallantop talked to Yashwant Sinha - former Union Finance Minister (Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cabinet). A vocal critic of Narendra Modi's policies over the years, Sinha told us what was wrong with the package - notably, the lack of attention to people forced to migrate from cities to villages. Sinha argued for a setup similar to a 'National Government' in time of crisis, a 'survival package' and an end to 'reckless' behaviour of people seated at the 'top.'
