Ayia Napa rape case - British teen spared jail in Cyprus over false claim

A BRITISH teen has been handed a four-month suspended jail term in Cyprus after being found guilty of making a false rape claim against 12 Israeli men last year.

The unidentified 19-year-old was sentenced today amid speculation that she would be granted a pardon by the Cypriot president.
