RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 whole chicken, raw
1/2 pound pork bone
1/4 pound pork meat
Date (optional)
1 carrot
1 ear of corn
Ginger root
1 large section of lotus root
Chicken Bouillon Powder (optional)
Salt

Cut your pork bone, pork meat, and chicken into equal sized parts. Each piece should be smaller than a clenched fist. In a large pot, blanch the meat and bones and date by placing it in water, bringing to a boil, and cooking until the meat has fully turned color. Skim the scum off the top, remove the meat, and bring to a sink. Wash off the remaining pieces of meat with cold water, and place back into the pot (you can also use a new pot of water if you'd like).

Prepare your vegetables by peeling the skin off of them and cutting into equal sized chunks.

Place your vegetables in with the meat, letting the water entirely cover the ingredients, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 3+ hours. Add chicken bouillon powder (optional) and salt and mix thoroughly. Skim the remaining scum and oil off the top again, or you can also refrigerate it over night so it all coagulates to the top.

Reheat on stove if left in refrigerator, or serve hot out of the pot!
