BANGKOK: Silom Road Walking Street

Silom Road is one of 3 locations that has been turned into a ‘Walking Street’ for pedestrians.

The Thai government has turned Silom Road, Yaowarat Road in Chinatown and Khao San Road into a ‘Walking Street’ for pedestrians, to help boost tourism.

Silom Road which is located in the business district of Bangkok, will now be closed for pedestrians every 3rd Sunday of each month from 12 noon to 10:00pm.

The Silom ‘Walking Street’ trial will run until May 2020, which will then be reviewed by authorities.

So be sure to check it out if you are traveling to Bangkok during that time.
