Bernie Sanders' Los Angeles Rally with Public Enemy Radio, Sarah Silverman, Dick Van Dyke
Description
Bernie Sanders hosts a MASSIVE rally in Downtown Los Angeles. On Super Tuesday, he's expected to win big in California--the most populous state with the most delegates. We spoke with him, in an exclusive interview.
Sanders urged the crowd to recruit friends & family to vote. He's hoping for the largest voter turn out in California history.
This rally comes just hours after Pete Buttigieg dropped out of the race. Sanders is inviting Mayor Pete's supporters to back him.
President Trump suggested Buttigieg dropped out to help more Establishment candidates defeat Sanders.
"We are taking on the corporate establishment, we're taking on Trump, we're taking on the Democratic establishment, we're taking on the insurance companies, we're taking on the prescription drug companies. That's what we do. And that's why we're going to win."
Sanders' team told me I've interviewed him more than any other California journalist.
I asked him about going from a long shot, outsider campaign to the frontrunner for the nomination?
"We know if we win the Democratic nomination, taking on Trump will not be easy. He has unlimited amounts of money, he lies all the time, he will merge federal agencies with his campaign, he's unscrupulous," Sanders said.
He contiued, "but at the end of the day, we will beat him! We will beat him because the American people do not corruption in Washington, they don't want a President who is a pathalogical liar...and most importantly...people want in the wealthiest country in the history of the world...they want justice."
