The Alec Steel knife in a box kit is a great way to build your first knife! I have been watching shows and planning on building a knife for many years. I discovered the Alec Steele YouTube channel a few months ago and have been absolutely hooked. When they released this build a knife box I ordered it right away. DIY kits are a great way to get your feet wet because much of the material has been gathered for you and in this case even the profile was already cut. I learned a lot with this project including the fact that I have much to learn. The school of DIY has tuition but the payment is in hours. This was the first of many hours required to reach journeymen level knife making. Join me in my apprenticeship and work along side me as we take the long journey to become a master craftsmen!
