Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda
has to hold some record for the longest name for a video game ever. It’s an indie rhythm rogue-like video game. It’s a spin-off and crossover of Crypt of the NecroDancer with The Legend of Zelda characters, combining the rhythm-based movement and fighting mechanics of NecroDancer with elements reminiscent of games like the original NES Legend Of Zelda and A Link to The Past.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the long awaited sequel to Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and the third game in the Luigi's Mansion series. You take on the role of Luigi who has to explore a haunted high-rise hotel and rescue his friends, after the group are tricked into visiting it by an old enemy. It includes some new features with some returning gameplay elements, including new moves for ghost catching, a doppleganger called for Goo-igi for puzzle-solving, and multiplayer for both co-op and competitive gaming. Visually it’s one of the most beautiful games on Nintendo Switch & fits that Halloween vibe perfectly.

Ring Fit Adventure is an exercising action-RPG. It comes with two accessories: the Ring-Con ring that you hold & put a Joy-Con into and a Leg Strap that holds the other Joy-Con. The main mode has you in a turn-based role-playing game, where player movements and attacks happen by performing certain physical activities using the Ring-Con and Leg Strap. You also have a bunch of general guided fitness routines and party-style games

Astral Chain is an action-adventure hack & slash game developed by the same people that gave us Nier: Automata, Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. You take the role of a detective from the "Neuron" special police task force, who have the job of solving cases and investigating incidents that take place in "The Ark", Which is like the game's main world. During the game the officers access the "Astral Plane"— this interdimensional area where they travel across hazardous areas, solve puzzles, and battle enemies. Neuron officers are able to summon what’s known as a "Legion.” Legions come in a bunch of different forms with different abilities that are used for puzzle-solving and combat.

Tetris 99 is a free online multiplayer version of Tetris. It’s got elements of a battle royale game, with 99 players competing against each other. It also has 2 offline modes: CPU Battle, where you battle 98 AI players; and Marathon, where you play an endless game of Tetris, trying to achieve the highest score. Nintendo plans to release a local offline mode, as well.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is an action-adventure game that released on September 20, 2019. It is a complete remake of the 1993 game for Game Boy. It’s got the original's top-down perspective and gameplay, along with elements from the 1998 re-release Link's Awakening DX. I love the "retro-modern" art style with toy-like character designs, diorama-like world designs, and tilt-shift visuals. It also has customizable dungeons which you can create and then complete for rewards. Like a baby version of a Zelda Maker.

Super Mario Maker 2 is a side-scrolling platform game and game creator. Of course it is the sequel to Super Mario Maker, and it was released back on June 28. A lot of it is the same as the original where players create their own custom courses using parts from different games across the Super Mario franchise and share them online. Mario Maker 2 introduces new features and parts, including a new course style and parts based on Super Mario 3D World.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a tactical RPG. The first Fire Emblem for home consoles since 2007 with Radiant Dawn for Wii. It’s set on the continent that’s divided between three rival nations now at peace. You play as a former mercenary and new tutor & you choose a nation to support and guide through a series of battles. The game carries over the turn-based tactical gameplay of earlier Fire Emblem titles, while incorporating social aspects and time management elements. If you’re a fan of the turn-based strategy or the Fire Emblem franchise this is a must have.
