This video goes through my list of top 6 coasters at Cedar Point. I review each one and then give a tip for having a better ride on that coaster. I wanted to credit Cedar Fair with all of the on-ride footage.

Coming in at #6 is Millennium Force. This coaster was just okay for me. The scenery is definitely the best part. The ride wasn't very memorable for me even though it was a fun coaster.

Tip: You are not allowed to wear your jacket around your waist. If you do, you will have to remove it and put it on.

Coming in at #5 is Valravn:

The dives and the loop were the most memorable parts of this coaster. It's difficult for a dive coaster to be truly memorable after the dives, but it was still fun and more memorable than Millennium Force.

Tip: RIDE IN THE FRONT ROW and brace yourself for that brake run! It's a bit rough at the end.

#4 on my list is Gatekeeper:

This coaster is very underrated in my opinion; I enjoyed it so much more than I was expecting! It feels like you are flying and the ride is so relaxing and fun. A great coaster for all ages!

Tip: wear a jacket if the weather is cooler. This coaster is definitely windy!

Now on to the top 3! Coming in at #3 is Top Thrill Dragster. This ride has so much going for it and it literally takes your breath away (but really though…I couldn’t breath for the first 10 seconds of the launch). This coaster really is something else. It can’t truly be compared to the other coasters on this list because it is just so different. If you are an adrenaline junky and you enjoy launch coasters, you must ride this. There are no words to describe the launch. It is absolutely crazy and I’m pretty sure that’s the closest I will ever come to feeling like I’ve been launched in a rocket. Seeing the view from the top is incredible. It’s really cool how it slows down so much and allows you to see the park for a few seconds.

If it’s so great, then why did it not get ranked #1? The first is the reliability of the TTD. It broke down 3 times on me. 2 of those times were just before I got on the train. It was super frustrating. That line does NOT move fast. I would recommend getting Fast Lane Plus passes just to ride this ride. Even with those passes, there is still a chance you may only get to ride it once or not at all. I also felt that while the operations tried their best to load and unload quickly, but the process of taking everyone off the ride and getting a new train on the track was so incredibly time consuming. Also, the ride is sooooo short! Too short to get a number 1 ranking.

Tip: You will increase your chances of getting to ride TTD more if you have Fast Lane Plus Passes. Gear up mentally to have it shut down on you.

#2 on my list is Maverick. What a great coaster! I loved everything about this ride expect there were a few times that my head got banged around. Sitting in the front helps a lot with that, but if you have had neck problems in the past, beware. I think when it first opened in 2007, it was probably a lot smoother. But I found it to be a bit rough.

The launch in the tunnel is my favorite launch to date. So much fun. I also loved the layout of the coaster. It was very unique and memorable.

Tip: take out your earrings and brace yourself with your head back through the heart line roll sections. Also remember that you don’t have to put your stuff in a locker before you get on. You will place your belongings in a bin just as you are boarding.

#1 was Steel Vengeance. It was my first time riding an RMC coaster and wow it did NOT disappoint. The smoothness of the ride is unparalleled. I rode in both the front, back, and middle. I never got one bad ride. The lift hill is quick and smooth. The first drop is out of this world incredible. There are no boring sections of this ride. I was lucky enough to ride this over 10 times while visiting Cedar Point and I am so glad. It really blew me away. The restraints are comfortable and really allow you to enjoy the ride so much.

Tip: utilize those lockers and don't bring ANYTHING with you on the ride; they are very strict and will not allow any phones.
