Board-Certified Behavior Analyst To 10-Year-Old: ‘I’m Here To Give You A Better Life’

Zak is a 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder two years ago. His parents, Denise and Jarid, and grandparents, Brad and Carol, say he throws daily temper tantrums, is physically aggressive, verbally abusive, and refuses to do things for himself.

“I know that this may seem very scary and overwhelming, but we’re here to help you work through these things,” she tells him. “I’m here to give you a better life so that you don’t have to feel so upset and so angry.”
