Can a PC Make PS2 Graphics Great Again?

The PlayStation 2 is an old system, yet some of the games were quite graphicallly impressive ,at least 15 or so years ago. But how good can you make one of the best looking sixth generation titles look when emulating it on PC, and how will it perform?
