Cardinal falls against No. 16 Fighting Irish to end regular season competition

Stanford football wraps up the regular season with a 45-24 loss at The Farm on Saturday against No. 16 Notre Dame. For the first time under David Shaw the Cardinal lose to a non-conference opponent at home (17-1); streak of 21-straight home wins against non-conference opponents snapped. Quarterback Davis Mills threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns while Mills' backfield partner Cameron Scarlett finished with 43 yards on the ground and one touchdown. The Fighting Irish picked up its first win at Stanford since 2007 behind quarterback Ian Book who threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns. Stanford finishes the year with a 4-8 record overall.
