Woman Murdered In Cold Blood While Worshiping In Church
Shock and horror, as of Sunday morning worship at the Agape Christian Fellowship church in Falmouth, turned to scream and mourning, as churchgoers bear witness to the cold-blooded murder of one of their colleagues, 51-year-old Andrea Lowe-Garwood, National Commercial Bank (NCB) manager of Brook Manner in the parish.
Double Murder In Clarendon, Jamaica
A Clarendon couple was murdered at their home in the parish by unknown assailants on Sunday.
Dead is 55-year-old careen Walters, otherwise called ‘Paula’, a security guard and her partner, Jermaine Brooks, and otherwise called ‘Rasta’. Both are from Suncrest Meadows, Race Track in Clarendon.
Reports from the may pen police are about 12:10 Sunday morning; residents heard explosions and summoned the police. On their arrival, Walters and brooks were reportedly found with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.
Jamaica Has the Regions Highest Homicide Rate
A new report on Latin America and the Caribbean has revealed that Jamaica now has the region’s highest homicide rate at just over forty-six (46) murders per 1-hundred- thousand people.
The United Nations considers any homicide rate of 10 per 100,000 citizens or above to be an “epidemic.”
Death Allegedly Spurred By Hospital Negligence
A family is accusing the Port Antonio hospital in Portland, of negligence following the death of a mother and her child, Saturday.
The relatives say Rosemarie Gayle went to the hospital to deliver her baby but, met a tragic end, leaving both her 10 and 15-year-olds, motherless. They say she wasn't sick.
The family is demanding answers following the labor nightmare.
