The Government’s strategy for fighting coronavirus is coming under scrutiny. While countries similar to our own are cancelling mass gatherings and closing schools, the UK’s response remains distinctly low key.
On Thursday Boris Johnson announced new measures, including asking people with a cough or a temperature to stay at home, but some say it is not enough. Why are Ireland and Spain closing schools while we leave ours open? Why have France, Germany and now Scotland stopped gatherings of more than 500 people while we carry on?
