COVID-19 pandemic likely to be over by June, says Chinese government medical adviser

A Chinese government medical adviser has said that the COVID-19 pandemic will likely be over by June. China has been reporting a steady decline in daily infections. On March 12, eight new cases were confirmed in Wuhan -- the first time fewer than 10 cases have been reported at the epicentre of the outbreak. Chinese health officials are saying that the peak in China has passed. A diseases expert also said that the rate of re-infection among recovered patients remains low.
