What do you think is the most common cause of death among wild animals? No, it's not natural disasters or predator attacks. Not so long ago, scientists from Ohio revealed the truth. The researchers studied the lives of more than a hundred thousand wild animals from 1970 to 2018 and found that in 1 out of 4 cases people are directly responsible for the death of animals. And we are only talking about direct involvement, like deaths caused by hunting, poaching, collision with cars on the road or power lines. But there are also some indirect deaths which are much more difficult to reflect in statistics. In particular, environmental pollution and the destruction of different ecosystems.
All in all, mankind owes a huge debt to the planet. And it's a very important question whether we can pay it back. However, each of us can do a contribution, albeit small, to this matter. For example, by saving an animal. Today we have some stories about this and some of them are the result of very happy accidents.
