Domestic violence suspect arrested at accuser’s apartment during virtual court hearing

Coby Harris was in the midst of a preliminary hearing on March 2, 2021, on charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm and domestic violence-second offense. At roughly eight minutes in St. Joseph County Assistant Prosecutor Deborah Davis paused to ask the victim to confirm her suspicion that Harris was in the apartment. Police arrived at the door and Harris was taken into custody and his bond was cancelled. The hearing was held via ZOOM due to precautions around COVID-19.
