Doom Theme (E1M1) but it sounds like Jazz Battle Music

To celebrate the recent release of Doom Eternal, I wanted to give this classic tune a try and it somehow ended up like this. I imagine this as a track that would play during battles in some random forgotten JRPG.

This is the first round of VERSUS in 2020. Where I go head to head against another pianist to see whose cover reigns supreme.

=======(The Details)=======
This tune is tricky, and certainly earns its title of "Etude". The outer sections require very precise rhythm and pedaling to sound correct. Also the original E1M1 lick is relegated to the left hand, which makes the middle of the piece a marathon of endurance if your technique isn't up to par.

With the left hand relegated to accompanying, I went for a jazzy Kapustin-like (Russian classically trained jazz pianist/composer) right hand to completely change the effect of the track. I'm surprised how well the original theme fits in this style.

Fun Fact: This took more arranging time and practice than the Animal Crossing Medley I uploaded a week or so ago. Players be warned.
