Emotional Surprise for This Teacher Who Survived Coronavirus | Good Morning Britain

Mother and daughter, Julie and Gabrielle had only ever been apart for a week - then Julie contracted coronavirus. She spent a total of nearly five weeks in hospital with 15 days in an induced coma in the ICU. But Gabrielle was determined to speak to her mum everyday. Even while Julie was unconscious, the nurses would hold a phone up to her ear for Gabrielle to send her well wishes. The emotional moment Julie, a teacher from Cheshire, received a guard of honour as she was finally discharged from hospital and reunited with her daughter is captured in a heartwarming video. Julie formed a strong bond with the nurses who were looking after and it turned out she had taught Amanda's daughter.
