Eurovision: Top 25 Biggest DOWNGRADES from Semi Final to the Final (2004-2021)

Hi everyone, and welcome back to a new video! This will be the start of another (brief) series, with this episode looking at the biggest drops in placing of Eurovision songs from the semi final to the grand final.

To make the system fair for all years, I scaled the top 10 places of the semi final from 100%-0% (as 10th has always been the minimum needed for qualification) and all available places in the grand final the same way, so that all 1st places equal 100% and all last places equal 0%. I then took the difference between the percentages for the semi final and final, and the top 25 of these is what you will see in the video! For example, a 100% decrease would mean a song comes 1st in the semi final, then last in the grand final.

(As made apparent in the video, if any of these % decreases are the same, the tiebreaker is how much these songs decreased by in terms of percentage of available points).
