Eviction Complete on Rental Property 26: Cars, campers, Pitbulls and More!

I bought this property at the end of 2019 and it came with three houses and a commercial building. All of the properties were rented when I bought it for way below market value and we do not think anyone was actually paying rent.

We were able to get two of the houses vacant by offering cash for keys. The commercial building has been paying rent although the city said they were an illegal business, then gave them a business license, then said it was a mistake and took their license away, but said they could stay for a while still...

The third house has had a ton of stuff outside since we have owned it and the city has sent numerous code violations and has been fining the property for a long time because of everything outside. We told the tenants they had to clean up the outside and they have completely ignored us and kept adding more things to the mess.

We started the eviction earlier this year because they would not respond to a chase for keys offer either. We had the eviction scheduled in March but it was canceled due to the coronavirus. We finally got the eviction scheduled again and it was completed. Although the owner kept asking for more and more time because he never opened the notices on his door or mailed to him. They also stopped paying rent in March and have made no attempts to contact us or pay rent since then.

The sheriff deputies also confirmed they were on the SWAT team that came to this property earlier in the year and arrested someone wanted for murder in a camper that is no longer here!
