One Corner brings to you the First ever Interview of Mr India, Mr Asia and Mr World Murali Kumar, the man in uniform. Murali Kumar was born and raised at Kottayam in Kerala. He was an active sportsman during his student age. Murali was fascinated by electronics initially and studied software engineering as he was interested in electronics. He was an active member of NCC during school days and had an inclination towards uniform. His interest in the uniform turned true when he joined the Indian Navy. Presently, he is serving the nation in uniform and posted in Mumbai.
Murali Kumar is a champion bodybuilder from the Indian Navy. He is totally different among all the professional bodybuilders as he is serving the nation in uniform and maintaining his passion as well in his tight schedule where he has to sail, learn and perform his duties at high sea. He was ranked number 1 in 2013 and maintaining his position in top10 bodybuilder since 2013. He did not always want to grow up like a bodybuilder, he started working out in the gym to keep himself fit but later devoted fully as he started getting compliments for his physique. This was the moment when he didn’t look back and started going to the gym regularly. He highly inspired by International Bodybuilding legend, Dorian Yates who won the prestigious Mr. Olympia title for 6 consecutive times. There is a great saying that Rome was not built in a day, Murali Kumar worked so hard to achieve this level of bodybuilding. He has great dedication towards bodybuilding and regularly follows his gym routines without any distractions. It took him 10 years of rigorous physical work to achieve this point where he won Mr. India title by defeating Sangram Chogule in march 2013. He managed to win several amateur shows, before winning Mr. India in 2013. This achievement was so big of his bodybuilding career which made him so famous in the bodybuilding field. He is so particular about his gym schedule and always makes time from his day time job. He says that following your passion and schedule is very important, and bodybuilding is all about consistency and dedication. He continuously achieved other feet in the bodybuilding industry by winning Mr. Asia 2013; Mr. India 2014 - Overall Champion; and Mr. World in the same year. He also performed fantastically at the Asian Bodybuilding Championship held in Vietnam in 2012. These achievements make him the top best bodybuilder of India.
