Despite the situations he was brought up with, Mayweather was born into a family of boxers. His father is a former welterweight boxer. Along with his uncle, Roger Mayweather who was a former two-weight world champion on the super featherweight and light welterweight titles. He may have had some controversy with his family growing up, but Mayweather has made amends and even hired his father as his trainer. In the later years, his uncle trained and managed him before Floyd retired young as a boxer.
He was ranked in the top 50 highest paid athletes twice and was declared number one as the highest paid athlete of 2014. Floyd is not afraid to be flamboyant with his wealth. He has been caught frequently updating his social media posts with his extravagant lifestyle.
