Feds Send 30 Health Staff to Nursing Home, 10 Dead.

LifeCare Center of Kirkland, the nursing home at the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in Washington state, is about to get some much-needed help from the federal government - and just in the nick of time, say top King County officials.
So far, a large percentage of the coronavirus cases and most of the deaths in the region have originated at the Kirkland facility, and family members of residents there say they are fearful amid a lack of information about their loved ones and concerns about whether they are receiving the best care.

Then, Three more people have died from the COVID-19 outbreak in the Puget Sound area, local officials said, as the number of confirmed cases swelled to 79, including confirmed cases now in Grant County and Jefferson County.

Also, It’s not just elderly people who can suffer from severe cases of coronavirus. Other groups of people, including those with respiratory issues are also particularly susceptible to developing intense symptoms of COVID-19.

Classes on campus have been suspended for the remainder of winter quarter at University of Washington. Learning and final exams will continue online starting March. UW leaders said it's to help slow the spread of coronavirus in the region.
