They said their lives were ‘on hold’ while they searched for a stem cell donor for their seven-year-old son. But, after months of searching, in September experts finally found Finley - who suffers from a life-threatening condition called HLH - a matching donor. Having undergone the potentially life-saving transplant at the end of November - doctors feared Finley might have to spend Christmas in isolation. But, with his blood levels finally stabilising, could he make it home in time to open his presents? Joining us live from his room at Birmingham Children’s Hospital - we’ll be treating Finley to a few special surprises.
