Fire Cabin - Bushcraft build with hand tools. (5) Rough Roofing
Description
Rough Roofing - A lot of work making the rafters. It takes me a little under an hour to get there, and with little daylight in this period it is slow progress. It took two days per section with finding, cleaning and making the rafters fit. 7 sections is roof, the last two is window sections. In the next episode i will be making the windows, which i am looking forward to. This stuff got really triviel in the end.
As you might see; i changed method making the rafters from the beginning to the end. One thing is thinking about it, another is doing it in practice. I figure out new thing along the way, finds out what works, and what doesn't. Figure out new things, and learning along the way, is what i love. I have made a duble lean to, a wiki up, and the beginning of a log shelter, as you can see on my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/don_von_gun/ But nothing compared to this.
I speak a little in this video. I don't really like it. But my plan is to start speaking a little in some of my videos, hopefully it gets better.
