For this year’s FITTEAM Family Reunion in Indianapolis we’re planning on a new, fun participatory event – The first ever, FITTEAM Family Reunion Olympics.  

We’ll be hosting the event at a park location in downtown Indianapolis, close to our hotel.

All (invitees, guests, participants) will be pre-chosen on teams to compete in a series of   co-ed activities that can be physical, thought provoking and competitive.

Here’s the basic overview:

Eight teams will come together for multiple rounds of these Olympics.  We will assign captains for each team. Each round team captains will assign different activities for each team member. Activities include athletic, cerebral, puzzle challenges and team relay events – with enough variety so that anyone with injury or limitations will be able to participate equally.

Activities will include 10 separate competitions including, volleyball, obstacle course, paper airplane contests, foosball, puzzle challenges and more for the first of 4, half-hour rounds.  For the last two rounds entire teams will compete together in Dodge Ball and Tug-of-War to decide the championship teams.

The day is built around fun – completely organized, choreographed with a professional team building staff and referees.  The entire day is uplifting, energized and set to music from the beginning.

Points are awarded from 1st-8th place in every round, with points for all points for every activity counting the same.

And right after the competition we’ll get together and celebrate at the FITTEAM Family Reunion Awards Ceremony party.

Medals will be awarded for every member of the top 3 teams.  And the winning team will all share their names on the inaugural FITTEAM Family Reunion Championship Trophy plaque.

These FITTEAM Family Reunion Olympics are a unique fun, shared experience and a way for us to bring a group back together after these incredibly difficult times.  

These Games are also a way to break down barriers, discover some unknown skills, enhance our creativity and purpose as well as continue to foster collaboration, problem solving and teamwork.
